“Education is essential in the fight against poverty, the key to ending the world’s orphan crisis, and a bedrock to social and economic development”. But too often poor children in Uganda do not have a school to go.
WHY EDUCATION?
THE REALITY
Access :There are no enough schools in rural areas
Affordability : Most parents cannot afford to send their children to private schools which offer a better education and are core accessible
Quality : The teaching in state schools is often poor.
The Impact: Many children are unable to attend schools so have little or no education. The cycle of poverty continues, 30% of primary age children don’t complete primary school. only 36% of them go on to secondary schools.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Access: Our education program help provide core private schools in poor rural areas.
Quality: We train teachers which provides the quality education.
AFFORDABILITY
We connect children to sponsors that enable all parents/guardians to send their children to school.
RESULT
More children in Uganda get better education. This gives children Qualifications when they leave school and so more opportunities to get a job.
